Medical Society Consortium on Climate & Health Opportunities
Healthy Climate New Mexico is one of 30 state-level organizations working to organize, train, and mobilize health professionals around the health impacts of climate change and the health benefits of equitable climate action.
The Consortium has several opportunities throughout the year including an annual convention in February/March, communications and advocacy training, and more, often at low or no cost.

The Rising Cost of Climate Change in New Mexico

This memo summarizes findings from a first-of-its-kind dataset analyzing state-level climate costs
presented during New Mexico’s 2025 legislative interim session. It tells a clear story: climate impacts
already hurt people across the state, and the public is paying for it – through disaster response,
reforestation costs, health harms, and infrastructure repairs.

Columbia University Global Consortium on Climate and Health Education (GCCHE)
The GCCHE aims to promote and develop climate and health education across the globe in healthcare, academia and beyond. Individuals and organizations can join their climate and health education community to learn more about resources and opportunities for interprofessional collaboration.

Yale Climate Change and Health Online Certification Program
The Yale School of Public Health offers a 6-week Climate Change and Health Certificate program that prepares public health professionals, clinicians, mental health professionals, health educators, policymakers, environmental professionals, government officials, advocates, and others to address the adverse health impacts of climate change.
New Mexico Climate Risk Map
The NM Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department (EMNRD) has developed the Climate Risk Map to help New Mexico communities and residents learn more about factors that contribute to their climate change risk. You can use the website to visualize data related to air quality, drought, heat, flooding, and wildfire in New Mexico.

Healthy Climate Wisconsin: Climate-Smart Healthcare Toolkit
The Climate-Smart Healthcare toolkit offers a step-by-step guide for organizing a Green Team in your hospital or healthcare system. It also offers specific resources to analyze your carbon footprint and identify areas of need that may help guide sustainability projects.


2024 Lancet Countdown on Health and Climate Change Report
2025 launching soon!
The 2024 U.S. Brief highlights the state of climate change, health, and equity in the U.S. and provides policy recommendations for ensuring health and equity are maximized in climate policy and action. 2025 report launching soon!
