Healthy Climate New Mexico hosted a forum on December 4, 2025, where three candidates for New Mexico Governor and three candidates for Lieutenant Governor discussed their plans to safeguard our health against the impacts of extreme weather due to the changing climate. 

 

All known candidates who are declared or known to be strongly considering running for either office were invited to participate in the forum. Each candidate was sent the seven topic areas and questions on November 20, 2025, and given the option to have a stand-in to answer questions on their behalf. Healthy Climate NM is a non-partisan, non-profit organization, and does not endorse any particular candidate for office. Healthy Climate NM sincerely thanks all of the candidates who chose to participate in the forum.
