
Executive Director - Healthy Climate New Mexico
Location: Remote within New Mexico (with regular in-state travel)
Salary Range: $75,000–$90,000 with annual performance-based bonus depending on fundraising benchmarks

Qualifications
Required
-
Bachelor's degree required (advanced degree in public health, healthcare, nonprofit management, or related field preferred)

Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in nonprofit management, including budgeting and fundraising

Proven success in securing funding from grants, donors, and foundations

Strong knowledge of public health and healthcare systems

Experience with policy advocacy and legislative engagement

Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and environmental justice

Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal)

Deep personal and/or professional connections with New Mexico and knowledge of New Mexico communities, cultures and traditions

New Mexico residency (or willingness to relocate) and ability to travel frequently in-state

Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance

Background in climate, healthcare, or public health policy

Familiarity with New Mexico’s political and healthcare landscape
