New Mexico's Changing Climate and Our Health: Candidates Respond

New Mexicans are increasingly aware of the health threats posed by extreme weather events, including heat waves, wildfires and smoke pollution, and flash flooding, all caused and worsened by climate change. 

In 2026, New Mexico voters will elect a new governor. As we approach the primaries, it is critical that voters are aware of the candidate’s plans to safeguard our communities’ health against the climate changes we are already encountering.
